Giacomo Boffo / Romain du Fou and Diary of a Madman

Romain du Fou and Diary of a Madman Romain du Fou is a dynamic interpretation of XVIII century French typeface Romain du Roi ↑, famously designed following strict geometric rules in accordance with the methodical spirit of the rising Enlightenment. The redesign aims at overthrowing the rigidity of the original, seeking for a 'typographic revenge of madness on Enlightenment'. The new typeface was applied in a book presenting Nikolai Gogol's short story Diary of a Madman.
